I have a problem on a Mk4 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI from 2008. QXBA engine code. I searched the forums for answers, found and solved some of the problems but the car is still not up and running. So basically this is the problem. Cold engine, car starts fine, after about 50 km, it goes into limp mode with the following errors: P2566 P2263-turbocharger Since using shell diesel has improved the hunting (DOESNT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME AS BEFORE) but not got rid of hunting 100%. It idles smoothly at 800 rpm or just below 800 rpm (say 775rpm etc) BUT when it drops it drops it goes as low as 716rpm-750rpm as recorded on live data test.! Thats when it makes the engine hunt. 2016 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI 180BHP Auto AWD Mk5 (2020 to date) 2009 Mondeo 2.2 TDCI Titanium X Sport Mk4 (2013 to 2020) 2001 Mondeo 2.0l Ghia x Mk3 (2005 to 2013) On 3/23/2011 at 12:50 AM, dave h said: Hi yes if the noise is at idle speed and goes as the revs go up above say 1200rpm it will be the crank pulley. For a proper fix you need to replace the pulley the belt and the tensioner. The pulley is a vibration damper and wear over time allowing movement in it hence the noise a petrol engine has a I wouldn't bother removing or cleaning it on a Mk4 stage V unless there's change in engine fuel consumption or performance. Mine's done 145000km and continues to run fine, egr and all. Egr removal results in nitric acid in the air, formed from NOx and water. Y. I recently bought a 2010 Titanium X 2.0 TDCi which had the "Engine Malfunction" light on. i am now going through these same problems. I drive a 60 plate Mondeo 2. I'm not so much of a cars person, but hey, problem is a problem. So, I've bought 6 months ago Ford Mondeo Estate 2010 120kw/161bhp with 193 000 km on dash. About a month ago, I had troubles to get it started, It starts for a second and then instantly dies. I don't know how many posts I've already read, mainly stating that is a EGR problem. Can anyone help me. I have a Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Auto, about 2 years old that has just started playing up. It has started to just cutting out for no apparent reason. I can be going along at 30, stationary whatever and the engine just stops. I then get a flashing Glow plug light. I then cant start the engine at all for sometimes as long as half an hour. 11/9/10 Engine malfunction warning lamp illuminated on the instrument cluster; Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P269F present 63/2010 Should a customer express concern about the engine malfunction warning lamp illuminated on the instrument cluster, the probable cause is a blown fuse due to fuel vaporizer component internal short circuit caused by hpRKxhC.
